I'm Michel

French Art Teacher with 10+ Years of Professional Experience.

My passion for art first started when I studied Fine Arts and The History of Art in Paris. After many years in the field exploring where art would take me, I decided to go back to my real calling: teaching art.

I teach a variety of subjects including woodworking, visual art, comic studies, architecture, cartooning and clay modelling in french and english. I am a certified Artist-Educator with The Royal Conservatory of Ontario and I spend my summers teaching art camps with organizations such as CPF (Canadian Parents for French), Alliance Française, Autism Ontario, York University and more. I also work for Lycée Français de Toronto, Viamonde, and school boards across the GTA.

I now have my own studio, La Ruche - The Hive where I teach virtual classes; bilingual art sessions where young artists learn techniques, discover artists and their histories, and learn how to express themselves through art all while making friends in French with their classmates.

What People Are Saying

Ce que les parents en disent

We have been so thrilled with Michel’s art classes. My son is 6, and the projects are both challenging yet age appropriate. He is so proud of what he has created and often spends time after class making more. It has also been a great, low-pressure, fun environment for him to practice his French, and he has become so much more comfortable in conversation.

We can’t say enough good things!
